Dowsil 786 Mildew Resistant silicone sealant is well suited for showers, waterproofing rimless sinks, tubs, plumbing fixtures, and nonporous surfaces. It is a single component, acetoxy curing, rubber silicone that is resistant to staining, steam, and moisture. Dow 786 silicone caulk is ideal for use where extreme temperature and humidity are present. It has a shelf life of 900 days, a tensile strength of 325 psi, and a tooling time between 5-11 minutes. The material comes in a variety of colors including almond, gray, translucent white, white, and clear. Dowsil 786 RTV Silicone is compatible with a wide variety of substrates, but should be evaluated in each case before using.
