Copper UF-B Underground Feeder Cable Type UF-B, underground feeder cables, have a broad usage, as defined in Articles 340 of the 2005 NEC. Type UF-B may be installed as interior wiring in wet, dry, or in corrosive locations at temperatures not to exceed 90??C (with ampacity limited to that for 60??C conductors) as specified by the NEC. Type UF-B may be used underground, including direct burial and/or exposed to direct rays of sun. Type UF-B may also be used in applications permitted for type NM-C construction as specified in article 334.10 B of the NEC. Maximum voltage rating for UF-B is 600 volts.
